Meet The Shenanigans, a musical trio that brings together extraordinary talent, boundless creativity, and a shared love for music that spans genres and generations. With a unique blend of classical training, Irish charm, and Broadway flair, this trio delivers performances that are as eclectic as they are unforgettable.

Dede Ondishko (fiddle, piano, vocals, composer) is the musical powerhouse of the group. A classically trained pianist who began her journey at the Peabody Conservatory at just seven years old, Dede went on to earn a PhD in Music from the renowned Eastman School of Music. Balancing a dual career as a systems programmer and music educator, she has taught at prestigious institutions like the Oberlin Conservatory and public schools across the U.S. Today, Dede dedicates her time to composing music, with her recent chamber piece premiering in London to critical acclaim. When she’s not composing, you can find her fiddling away with Prickly Pear Jam at O'Caine's, performing seasonally with the Scottish Fiddlers of LA, or co-hosting the Bluegrass Jam and Americana Guest House in Palm Springs.

Dr. Jason Powell (multi-instrumentalist, vocals) is the trio’s resident leprechaun—by day, a music teacher, musician, author, artist, woodworker, and devoted family man; by night, a spirited performer of Irish music. A true believer in the transformative power of music, he says, “Music is the only true magic we have. It brings cultures together, evokes emotions, brings back memories, helps us physically work better, challenges our mental capacities, enhances our faith, brings us genuine happiness, and always meets us right where we are.”

Troy Garza (bass vocals, ukulele, songwriter) rounds out the trio with his Broadway pedigree and razor-sharp wit. A veteran of A CHORUS LINE, where he spent 14 years as a performer and dance captain, Troy also choreographed Saturday Night Live for ten seasons, famously crafting the iconic CHIPPENDALES sketch starring Patrick Swayze and Chris Farley. As a songwriter, Troy’s original compositions are infused with humor and heart, showcasing his knack for storytelling and his rich, resonant bass voice.
